Magnum PI Season 5 Episode 3 Recap
At the mortuary, Magnum is able to positively identify Greene’s body. The police are investigating whether Greene’s death was the result of an accident or a suicide. Magnum is adamant that an autopsy be performed. Katsumoto is filling in at the last minute for another security guard who was supposed to work for the K-pop diva Rae Song. Higgins is providing assistance to Rick, whose alcohol distributor recently had something taken from them. Rick has deduced that Thomas is seeing someone else on the basis of the hours that Thomas keeps. They discover Kona lying dead on the ground. They are confronted by two men armed with firearms. Katsumoto and Rae had an open and honest conversation regarding Rae’s life. Magnum is perplexed as to why Greene’s watch has such an inaccurate date. He is also perplexed as to why he is unable to contact Juliet or Rick. They are currently riding in the cargo area of a vehicle with Kona’s dead body. Rae is disparaged by her bodyguard Kwan in front of Gordon. Katsumoto was attacked by a stalker heading after Rae. Higgins is successful in persuading their captors to release them so that they can search for the stolen object they are looking for.
Magnum and T.C. find out that Kona’s house has been wrecked. Thomas receives a phone call from his captors, who inform him that, under threat of punishment, he must locate the stolen case of whiskey. When Magnum investigates, he discovers the thief bragging about the case on social networks. Rae and her manager make an inquiry about Gordon’s well-being. The man who posted a picture of himself on social media drinking his customer’s whiskey also revealed the customer’s name. Katsumoto is informed by Childs that the culprit in Rae’s assault managed to flee the scene. Gordon is the target of Kwan’s efforts to buy his silence with a ten thousand dollar envelope. He immediately confronts Children and says that Kwan is the Korean equivalent of the mafia. Rick and Juliet’s attempt to flee the scene is unsuccessful. Thomas and T.C. are successful in landing the client and securing a loan for the whiskey. The label that Rae is signed to is owned by the same gang as the deceased stalker. The mob was informed by Rae’s management that Rae was planning to depart the label in the near future. Rae remains in Katsumoto’s company. The whisky was taken by one of the prisoners and then sold. They exchange gunfire with one another. After being waterboarded, Greene died.
