[Game] Mortal Kombat 1 Voice Cast Revealed

The upcoming fighting game Mortal Kombat 1 was created by NetherRealm Studios and released by Warner Bros. Games.  Mortal Kombat 1 is another reboot of the long-running franchise and its universe, taking place after the events of Mortal Kombat 11 and giving series staple characters new backstories and origins. The game is set to release later this September, with MK1 getting a lot of showcases and marketing by NetherRealm Studios. On September 19, 2023, Mortal Kombat 1 will be released for PC, PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.

It has been confirmed that Mortal Kombat 1 will have an offline option, online multiplayer, and a rollback netcode. The Kameo Fighters feature, which will help the player out in battles, will be a new addition to the game. These individuals will be chosen before of each fight and will be different from the main cast. Also returning and being improved for this game is the Air Kombat combo system that was a part of both Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and the action spin-off Shaolin Monks.

As we eagerly await the highly anticipated release of Mortal Kombat 1, the passionate fanbase finds itself embroiled in intense debates surrounding the talented voice actors chosen for the game. Are we gonna see some familiar voice actors making a comeback for another epic round?

The Mortal Kombat 1 voice cast consists of accomplished actors who give the game’s legendary characters life. Among the game’s noteworthy voice actors are Jean-Claude Van Damme and Andrew Bowen, who both portray Johnny Cage. Kenshi is voiced by Vic Chao, and Kitana and Mileena are both portrayed by Kari Wahlgren. Kung Lao is voiced by Sunil Malhotra, and Liu Kang is portrayed by Matthew Yang King. Smoke is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, Sub-Zero is portrayed by Kaiji Tang, and Scorpion is brought to life by Ron Yuan.

These performers have a wealth of gaming industry expertise and have contributed to a number of well-known games, including Yakuza, Fallout 76, Red Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Diablo 4, and more. Players will find Mortal Kombat 1 to be even more engrossing and thrilling thanks to the voice cast’s addition of personality and depth to the game’s characters.

The most recent Mortal Kombat 1 trailer featured playable Lin Kuei characters, including as the lethal ninja assassins Smoke and Rain, as well as fighters who aid Kameo, such as Cyrax and Sektor. Some of the series’ most beloved characters were also sporting some new appearances and abilities. Despite just releasing a teaser chock with of fan favorites, Ed Boon, the series’ co-creator, may have given a hint as to when additional MK1 footage might be revealed.
