Nancy Drew Season 3 Episode 7 Recap

George and Nancy travel down to the entity’s jail at the opening of the episode, where George laments the fact that Hannah is no longer around to aid them with their soul splitter problem. While Bess searches for more information, Ace searches the Bobbseys’ storage unit for the device. Ace reveals that the cops are aware of the storage place and that they must outrun them there before stealing the soul splitter. Even though it’s too late, Nancy seeks Carson’s assistance. The things are being tagged by the cops. Bess offers herself a quick lesson in the routine she had hoped to study when she had more time. Carson filed a motion to postpone the evidence’s processing.

Carson is supposed to steal the soul splitter, hand it over to the Drew Crew, and then smuggle it back in. Nancy learns of Amanda’s breakup. While they wait for Carson and Ryan to return with the soul splitter, Bess rushes to arrange the ceremony. They have until sunset to complete their task. To prepare, George drinks the “beetle smoothie,” but without the soul splitter, he passes out. Any delay could put George’s soul in jeopardy. George awakens. Bess requests that she phone Nick and inform him of the situation. Odette’s soul appears out of nowhere. Bess is ecstatic, and she asks for her help, but Odette swiftly fades back to George. They begin the rite once Nancy runs in with the device. They separated the souls and returned George’s soul… but it then popped out of her body again.

Nancy returns to the cage to check if there is anything that will aid George. Nancy finds explicit directions for the soul splitter in the cage, just like she would for a board game. She warns Bess that the apparatus is only designed to separate one soul, not two. They must destroy Odette’s crystal and her soul in order to save George. Bess is heartbroken and flees the house, seeking a way out. Nancy discovers Bess holding Odette’s crystal. Nancy speaks up about her mother’s death, and Bess confesses that she feels like a coward. Nancy claims that Odette wishes the same for Bess, and that Odette wishes for George to live her life. “Goodbye doesn’t mean you’re going to be alone,” Nancy says Bess as they finish the ritual together, with Bess burning the crystal. George awakens — the ritual was successful. George is ecstatic and can’t wait to tell Nick, but Ace has some bad news for him. Nick has vanished without a trace, leaving behind only his cell phone.
