NCIS Hawaii Episode 18 Recap
Jane and Nick managed to flee the shooting at their car in the episode, but the shooters mysteriously took away the body of a dead witness called Kyle Jennings. Later in the office, the name of a security firm called Fortress was mentioned, which was most likely engaged in the Afghan blast. Furthermore, the case’s two witnesses, Greg Winslow and Kyle Jennings, were no longer alive. As a result, the team had to come up with a new solution. Nick attempted to dispel suspicions about him and Jane from their case in Orlando with Lucy, Jesse, and Kai before beginning work on the inquiry. However, it turned out that they were completely unaware of it until recently, which piqued their interest. From the tyre tracks near the shooting, Ernie was able to trace down a vehicle, which led Jane and Nick to Greg, the first witness who had been assumed dead for years. He admitted that he didn’t know much about the explosion, but that he faked his death since his life was under danger from Fortress members. Agent Knight came at the office, and he and Ernie worked together to build a simulated scenario to prove that the blast in Afghanistan was planned.
While Kai and Jesse were successful in retrieving Kyle’s skeleton from a facility where it had been burned to the flames. They discovered that Kyle had planted the device after investigating deeper. But, more importantly, what role did Fortress play in all of this? As a result, Jane and Kai were able to obtain a list of all Fortress soldiers who had worked in Afghanistan and presented it to Greg, who was able to identify the men who were present during the blast years ago. Meanwhile, Fortress was able to apprehend Greg and kidnap him after he made the mistake of trying to phone his sister after all these years. Ernie and Knight were able to gather further information on why Fortress was involved once again. They discovered that they had recovered millions of dollars in stolen US currency from terrorists in Afghanistan. However, only about half of it was transmitted to the US government. Jane, Nick, Kai, Lucy, Jesse, and Knight eventually found Greg and saved him. Agent Parker, on the other hand, chose the CEO of Fortress, who was in charge in Afghanistan at the time, and brought him to NCIS for arrest. Finally, Nick left Hawaii, promising Jane that whatever occurred in Orlando would remain private.
