As NCIS Hawaiʻi gets ready for its next episode, fans are looking forward to what looks like it will be an interesting one. The network hasn’t said much about the show, so it’s still a mystery. There are only a few episodes left in the season, so each one is important. There will be both a main case and interesting side stories, though, for fans.
CBS teases an intense plot in the promo for NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 Episode 8 that involves a kidnapping in a public place during the day, calling it ‘Into Thin Air.’ The case is very important because $3 million is at stake. It gets funny though when one of the characters says that if there are clowns involved, they’re on their own. This makes me think that the next show will have a mix of tension and humor.

NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 Episode 7 Recap
At the start of the show, Staff Sergeant Nicholas Ruiz is killed while on the Big Island for a military training exercise. A park guard finds him just before he dies, screaming that someone is trying to kill him. The NCIS team is asked to look into it. The leader of the NCIS team, Tennant, thinks the training might be SERE training, which is meant to break down soldiers and bring out the best in them. She talks to Nicholas’s commanding officer, who doesn’t want to help at first but finally lets them into the training site.
The team finds two more bodies of soldiers who were part of the training practice while they are investigating. Marine Colonel Reed, who goes into the trees with Tennant, thinks that Gunnery Sergeant Clint Osbourne, a troubled Marine with a history of violence, might be behind the killings. It turns out that Osbourne was crazy about a waitress named Rebecca Lee, who had been missing for a while. People think that Osbourne hurt her, which is why he went after the other soldiers during the training practice.
As the team gets closer to Osbourne, he gets more and more desperate, which leads to a fight with Tennant. But Tennant is able to talk Osbourne down, and he admits that the soldiers he killed were rapists who had raped and abused Rebecca Lee before killing her. Osbourne was trying to keep them away from him, so what he did was self-defense. Tennant is shocked to find out that the woman she thought was helping her during her experience was actually her mother, who had come to her aid. At the end of the show, Osbourne is not charged with anything because his actions were seen as self-defense, and Rebecca Lee finally gets justice for her murder.
