‘NCIS’ Season 20 Episode 2 Recap
The first scene of the episode shows a body inside a huge bunker filled with barrels of government-funded cheese. The squad is perplexed about their intended objective until they find that a nearby bunker holds leftover weaponry, making it a much more likely target for thieves. His still-alive buddy managed to escape. They set out to figure out how the robbers got over the unhackable vault security system after Knight (Katrina Law) proposes tightening protection there. Fortunately, a father at McGee’s children’s school wrote the uncrackable code. The investigators discover Carter Landegraff (Kash Abdulmalik), a chatty idiot who organizes Man Time Monday at the neighborhood juice bar and bothers McGee to no end. Carter recognizes the juice bar worker by name and is happy that someone actually showed up for the dad hang. But it becomes obvious that Carter is definitely involved when his car bursts into flames in front of the establishment.
Carter acknowledges during questioning that he loaned a friend his laptop that had the code on it. His friend who is Gangster Kingston Reinhardt promised to assist Carter after his bitcoin disappeared overnight. Reinhardt, however, was an improbable suspect because he passed away from a heart attack the day the bomb detonated. Knight bribes her friend Dee, who owns a funeral home into allowing them to see the body inside its coffin. A needle mark is found by Palmer (Brian Dietzen), it’s a murder. The squad recognizes Reinhardt’s nephew who escaped from the bunker. The nephew claims Carter stole the cryptocurrency from the school but denies knowing about the car bomb. Carter acknowledges him guiltily that he had actually done it. Owen Belfort III, a fellow father who wears a sweater tied around his shoulders and lost $300,000 on a previous real estate endeavor, was the only other prospective suspect who had knowledge of the account. They decide to use a cunning strategy: McGee will attend Owen’s fantasy football game for the school’s dads in order to get close enough to retrieve Owen’s posture-correcting device’s GPS data.
This is how McGee ends up standing uncomfortably in Owen’s man cave while sporting video-equipped spectacles and a blue football jersey. McGee has little knowledge of football. To get the men to start talking about how to be better fathers, Owen turns off the game and passes the feelings football around, which throws him for a loop. When McGee’s turn comes, he begins to talk about things other than his profession. prior to the job call with Owen’s posture data results. It demonstrates that Owen has a strong excuse for the recent incident, so he gets removed from the list. McGee hears the other dads discussing. After learning a valuable lesson about evaluating and being judged, McGee follows Parker’s recommendation and talks to Carter once more. They begin to get along, and ultimately Carter admits that he spent all of his time working on his laptop in the juice bar.
McGee is reminded of the strange man, a regular at the store, by this. strange man grabs his belongings, including a gun, and flees the building while Carter chitchats about NCIS having a new suspect. He stole Carter’s money after spying on his shopping. His real identity is Hans, and he is wanted for the murder of police officers in Stockholm. Hans killed Reinholdt because his involvement made him anxious. The task of telling Carter the truth then falls to McGee: the missing money was in Hans’ account.
Together, they leave the juice bar in search of coffee.
