Camila’s fate is uncertain in this gripping drama that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Camila moves into the house next to Miguel’s to protect the women in the neighborhood from his abuse. In episode three, she had an affair with Miguel without realizing that his son, Lucas, has been watching them through surveillance cameras. Lucas breaks the news to his mom and grandpa that his dad has been cheating on them. The following time we see Camila, she’s been attacked at her house and sent to the hospital. Her aggressive ex-boyfriend, Vicente, kidnaps her, but David (Lincoln Palomeque), Miguel, and the police come to her rescue.

An uncomfortable conversation at the police station reveals that Miguel’s father-in-law’s close friend Tina (Juliana Galvis) visited Camila in Las Vegas and spilled the beans about her husband. Camila goes to Miguel’s house to tell Angela Ferrer (Manuela González), his wife, about Pedro. Not listening, Angela attempts to drown Camila in the pool. Miguel discovers Angela seated in the corner and Camila lying on the floor, seemingly lifeless. Miguel goes to get rid of the body when Angela orders him to. In the end, though, Pedro’s distant property turns out to be where Camila has been hiding all along. When Camila and Miguel go back to confront Angela, Angela opens fire, and Camila and Miguel fall out of a first-story window.

After Camila moves in next door, Miguel’s life begins to unravel. Miguel learns that Pedro intends to have him removed from the family after Lucas uncovers his father’s business dealings. He also learns that Angela frequents an escort named Inti for sessions. A quarrel between Miguel and Angela in the car causes them to crash. Angela escapes the burning car in time, but Miguel’s body is never discovered. Camila returns to her job as an exotic dancer near the end of the season, and Miguel comes back with her, implying that he survived the car crash.
