[Netflix] Thicker Than Water Season 1 Recap
Sélim went to such lengths to provide for his mother because he wanted to provide her with a better life. He went to work for Oumar, assisting him in moving drugs around. He was tasked with driving millions of dollars worth of drugs across the country. His duty required him to use caution, but he ignored a red light. His refusal to stop after being ordered to do so resulted in the death of a police officer. He was well aware that getting caught would result in either a lifetime in prison or his execution at the hands of Oumar’s soldiers. He considered going into hiding, confident that Oumar would keep an eye out for him.
Fara Bentayeb (Nawell Madani) is thrilled to play the part of a TV host for her loved ones, but her brother Semir unexpectedly drops by her house. After making the request, he leaves without taking his vehicle with him. When Fara and her sisters are summoned in for interrogation, the police tell them that Semir ran over an officer after being told to pull over for violating traffic regulations. In an effort to clear their brother’s name, the Bentayeb sisters destroy the automobile. They torched it without realizing that it contained illegal substances worth millions of dollars. His sisters eliminated any chance of legal representation for Semir. The criminal, Oumar, has claimed ownership and is demanding repayment within a month. In an effort to recoup his investment, Fara and her sisters plot a course of action.
A cop named Samuel approaches Fara, saying he needs Fara’s help in arresting Oumar and his superiors. She helps her thieving brother evade capture. The sisters, still recovering from the fire, are looking for a new way to settle their differences with Oumar. When Lina sees a person she knows, the fun of a night out with the stars takes a turn for the worse. She altered the drugs, but she deleted the proof to protect him and then worked with Oumar to retrieve them. The drug was false and had been switched by Fara’s sisters — flour dough dipped in flour and packaged to look like drugs. Oumar failed to verify it until Fara gave him the real story, but it was so persuasive that he didn’t even question it. They did it together, but she probably placed the responsibility on herself to spare her sisters’ feelings. So, while she succeeded in keeping a felon off the streets, she herself had committed many offenses. She was taken to prison once she healed from her gunshot wound.
Oumar was never supplied with a genuine article. The criminal knew she and her sisters were messing with the drugs, and so he demanded their return. And when his boss visits Fara in jail, she verifies that the sisters did not give up the drug business. Fara promises that after she is released from jail, she would reveal the exact location of the drugs to him. If the criminal makes the same threats to her family that Oumar did, her sisters are going to burn everything down again.
When Semir’s mom discovers out, she tries to assist her daughters to figure it out, but she gradually comes to terms with the fact that fooling Oumar won’t bring Semir home. She contacts her long-lost husband and begs him to track down their son Semir to get him the house. He had already caused his sisters enough trouble; it was essential to put the matter to rest. He eventually travels back to Paris alongside his dad and turns himself in to the authorities there. He admits guilt on all counts, including the cop’s death discovery of drugs in his car, and serves a lengthy sentence behind bars. The drugs are revealed to be stashed in a vehicle during the last episode 8. Lina and her pals ponder its potential uses. All of their neighbors may benefit from the sale of these goods, which is worth millions of dollars. The only problem is that they don’t have any kind of link.
