Instead, he makes an effort to mend fences with Elizabeth Wilder. The highlight of this is? Ben, played by Conner Marx, happily left the conversation. Although Elizabeth appears to appreciate his apologies, she is aware that they both have histories. she is certain that she won’t participate in another person’s romantic drama. Then, right after Max requests a second chance, Helen texts him to see if she can see him evening.
Max wants a second chance. Helen follows up by texting to ask if she may see him. With Dr. Lauren Bloom (Janet Montgomery), Wilder, and Dr. Iggy Frome (Tyler Labine) on board, Max seizes the chance to take over a patient’s day-long team-building excursion reservation. The doctor is gracious enough to leave his divorce papers unsigned. Reynolds isn’t going anywhere since Reynolds’ friend’s son is in the hospital. But nobody is fooled; everyone is aware of Max’s motivation for wanting to disconnect from society especially after Helen texts again, suggesting they meet up at bar. Iggy, who is having trouble signing his divorce papers, seizes the chance to escape reality.
After the guide collapses and appears to come across a lost child (Max Malas), who is clearly younger than the guide .we’ll excuse the doctor for not noticing this sooner given the head injury he’ll later discover is the cause of said hallucination., Iggy offers to go get help. The young Iggy criticises his adult self for having emotional problems and recalls how he once ran away as a child only to return. Why return (or go to Martin)? Iggy understands the cost of a better life and that, despite knowing you must in order to advance, it is frightening to walk away from wonderful things.
Therefore, the divorce papers are signed when Martin (Mike Doyle) visits the emergency room to check on Iggy near the end of the episode. Iggy acknowledges that it has been difficult for him to accept that their relationship is over, but “sometimes to move forward, you have to leave something behind.” We are no longer married, I am convinced of that now. Iggy says he finally understands the way he wants to be going in, so Martin says he seems to be OK with it. Will you go on a date with me, Martin? Will Martin respond in the affirmative?
