NFL Network explains why the New England Patriots have released wide receiver Antonio Brown. he is facing allegations of sexual assault from two women.
“The New England Patriots are releasing Antonio Brown,” a team spokesperson said. “We appreciate the hard work of many people over the past 11 days, but we feel that it is best to move in a different direction at this time.”
Taylor has accused Brown of sexually assaulting her on three occasions, including rape, in the lawsuit filed in South Florida. A second woman has alleged that Brown exposed himself to her while she was working on a mural for him at his Pittsburgh home.
That artist also alleged that Brown sent her “intimidating” text messages.
“I appreciate that question. I’m just here to focus on the ball and look forward to getting out there in the home stadium and being with the team,” Brown said.
Now, he won’t get that chance.
