Kung Fu Season 1 Episode 12 Recap
Kerwin (Ludi Lin) and Zhilan barely have time to celebrate their collection of mysterious weapons. Nicky, Henry, and Kerwin are left looking at the maps. Simon’s constellation tattoo is his key to unlock the forge.
Nicky and her family welcome Mei-Li’s (Kheng Hua Tan) mother to their home who was a fighter as part of her paternal heritage. He said that he had studied kung fu and was aware of his family’s connection with mystical weapons. Nicky‘s grandmother, Mei-Li, reveals to him that she left her family fortune after learning about the power of swords and tried to discourage her children from following her example.
Zhilan (Yvonne Chapman) back in China, shows Kerwin (Ludi Lin) the graves of his parents and reveals that Zhilan’s mother was killed due to an industrial accident involving Kerwin. Zhilan confronts Kerwin and reveals that he was in love with her before he brutally murdered him.
Evan (Gavin Stenhouse) is shocked by his investigations into the Tan family. A call from Henry and Nicky reveals that Simon’s constellation tattoo doesn’t refer to traditional Astrology. The forge is located in the remote monastery where he trained with all. Althea accepts Evan’s apology, but will not be able to attend the wedding.
Nicky, despite doubts, agrees to let Henry accompany her to China. They visit the monastery while it is being restored and maintained by the surviving sister monks. There they find a sealed forge inside it. Weapons must be opened its door. The couple is being followed by Zhilan who arrives at the monastery with mysterious weapons. He allows himself to be found by the monks and has one last conversation with Nicky.
