What can we expect from the second season of Pacific Rim: The Black?

Taylor and Hayley will keep going towards Sidney in Season 2. The siblings are now joined by the assassin Mei and the unusual human/kaiju hybrid bOy. Taylor and Hayley will have to battle the Sisters of the Kaiju, a murderous cult that believes bOy is their messiah and would do whatever to entice him to join their cause.

Tayler and Hayley are hopeful that they will be able to locate their parents shortly after stumbling onto Hunter, the Jaeger piloted by their parents. There were no bodies recovered in the wreckage, so their parents were left with a video message. Because their Nuke got jammed and there were no other means to destroy the Kaiju they were fighting, they were forced to flee. Taylor and Hayley will continue their search for their parents in Sydney, as the only indication to their whereabouts is the seaside metropolis.
What is this enigmatic Boy?
Boy had been a mystery to Taylor and Hayley for a long time, and he was proved to be highly exceptional throughout the first season. When it was revealed that Boy is a Kaiju, he was able to withstand gunshots and interact with other Kaiju, a layer of mystery was peeled away. The implication of the Precursors transforming into one of the beasts while defending Hayley is that they can construct Kaiju that look like people and hide them in plain sight. Taylor and Hayley have a good buddy in Boy, but he is also a dangerous one. Is Boy capable of independent thought? Or, if granted any, would he have to obey the orders of a Precursor? At the very least, he has demonstrated the ability to act on his own free will.
What are the sisters’ plans for Boy?
Shane hinted at the sisters earlier in the season, but we saw them for the first time near the end of the first season. The enigmatic group has ties to the Kaiju and appears to worship the extraterrestrials. They’ve set their eyes on Boy, referring to him as the “Kaiju Messiah.” They’re most likely planning to kidnap him and replace him as the cult’s head. With grander plans, Boy may be used to wipe out the rest of humanity.
Will Mei exact vengeance on Shane?
Shane’s threat remains, and Mei will want to exact her vengeance on him. It was devastating to learn that Shane had kidnapped her away from her parents as a youngster and manipulated her memories to make her believe he was her rescuer. Along with Joel’s death, Mei has every cause to exact vengeance on him. one thing is certain: Mei will one day confront him and exact vengeance for the hardships he has caused her.
