It’s Cow or Never is the eighth episode of Peacemaker. it’s the season finale of Peacemaker! Peacemaker (John Cena) and the ARGUS task force are up against Goff/Detective Song’s (Annie Chang) Butterfly army orchestrating an alien invasion of Earth in Episode 8. The aim of Project Butterfly was to infiltrate a Coverdale ranch barn and kill the “Cow,” a larva-like beast that the Butterflies milk for the raw amber fluid they require to keep alive. Save the world by killing the cow.
Harcourt leads the ARGUS squad in the ranch attack after Murn’s (Chukwudi Iwuji) murder at the hands of Goff/Song in the season finale written and directed by Gunn. Despite Amanda Waller’s (Viola Davis) manipulations, Peacemaker, Harcourt, rookie recruit Leota Adebayo (Danielle Brooks), tech expert John Economos (Steve Agee), and the sociopathic Vigilante (Freddie Stroma) reassemble as a team to take on the mission teased in a post-credits scene ending The Suicide Squad: “save the f*cking world.”

The crisis surrounding Project Butterfly further worsened in this episode, which was exacerbated by Auggie Smith / White Dragon (Robert Patrick) getting released from prison and reuniting with his Neo-Nazi gang. Auggie and his squad eventually tracked down and killed Christopher Smith / Peacemaker (John Cena), Adrian Chase / Vigilante (Freddie Stroma), John Economos (Steve Agee), and Eagly. A furious brawl broke out on the side of the road, culminating in Vigilante stabbing Auggie through the weak areas in his White Dragon armour. In the ensuing battle with Peacemaker and Vigilante, Auggie perished.
