When things start to disappear, Honolulu resident Brittany suspects her husband, not realizing a stranger is living among them and running a medical experiment. This practise is known as “phrogging.” When her clothing keeps missing in Greensboro, North Carolina, Madisyn begins to doubt her sanity—that is, until she notices a peculiar handprint on her mirror. It’s okay to tremble.

In an interview with MediaVillage, executive producer Jessica Everleth discussed how people are more likely to suspect that a ghost is haunting their home than a human intruder. Victims frequently question their own sanity and self-worth before they even think about getting help.
She continued, “I thought it was an intriguing mystery. “Then I questioned, “Is this actually typical? How challenging will it be to locate stories? I rapidly discovered 200 stories, much to my shock and astonishment. This first season contains 20 stories, and we cover two per hour. They are simply insane, frightful, terrible, and terrifying — you name it! Simply put, it’s weird.”
She continued, “In our first episode, three young women kept discovering signs that someone had been in their house. “Clothing would disappear, blonde hair would turn up in the tub, and the tub would get unclean. Then one day a man’s handprint was discovered in the restroom. Before realizing it was an invader, they first believed their home to be haunted. One thing I learned while working on Phrogging is that most people would rather believe they had a ghost in their home than would want to believe an invader was there.” Everleth continued, “Additionally, many people were at home during the COVID lockdown, which is how I believe many of these stories surfaced over the past couple of years.
