‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ Season 2 Teaser and Release Date confirmed

Power book fans can get a sneak peek at Raising Kanan the highly anticipated crime thriller in the newly released teaser (watch below). The second season of Starz’s Power Book III: Raising Kanan will launch in August.

The third series in the Power universe is set in the early 1990s and tells the narrative of fan-favorite Kanan Stark (MeKai Curtis) and his descent into the criminal world through his cruel, drug-dealing mother Raquel (Patina Miller). As Raquel wins control of the city’s drug trade and Kanan returns to Queens, unsure of his future with the family business, the mother and son will grow apart in the second season. Kanan will continue his search for the truth about his history in Season 2, while Raquel takes the company into hostile Mafia territory. Meanwhile, Kanan’s uncle Lou Lou (Malcolm Mays) continues to create his fledgling record company, but Raquel isn’t willing to let his side hustle stifle her growth.

Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 2 Release Date

Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 2 premieres on Starz on Sunday, August 14 at 9 p.m. ET. New episodes will be available on the Starz app, all Starz streaming and on-demand platforms, and the Starzplay service worldwide at midnight. It will premiere on Starz in the United States and Canada at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 2 Cast

Omar Epps (House), London Brown (Ballers), Hailey Kilgore (Amazing Stories), Joey Bada$$ (Mr. Robot), and Shanley Caswell (The Conjuring) join Miller, Curtis, and Mays in the cast, with Quincy Brown (Dope) and Toby Sandeman (The Royals) recurring. For the second season, Antonio Ortiz (The Sinner) has been promoted to a series regular role.
