Power Book IV: Force Episode 9 Recap
Walter informs Vic that he believes Tommy was involved in his ambush and Gloria’s death as he recovers in the hospital. He intends to pursue the Serbs as well as Tommy. Tommy meets with D-Mac, who counts his money and tells him he’s smart and young enough to do more with his life. JP expresses his determination to find Darnell to his father. Claudia is summoned by Walter, who informs her about Vic’s shooting and Gloria’s death. Vic needs her, and he needs her to be there for him. Claudia has a hard time believing Vic when he tells her about the events leading up to the shooting and his suspicions that Tommy was involved. Walter, on the other hand, insists that Tommy was involved and tells her that she must choose between siding with the family or siding against them. The buzz on the street is that Vic was shot but survived, according to Liliana. Gloria, on the other hand, has remained unnamed. While Claudia avoids Tommy’s calls, Walter informs his daughter that he is putting together a war room and would like Claudia to be present. He argues that Vic’s shooting taught him that he must have his children with him. He also asks Claudia to keep an eye on Vic so he doesn’t go after Tommy on his own.
Walter informs Paulie that he intends to exterminate the Serbs and Tommy and instructs him to call the Four Horsemen now that Claudia and Vic are on his side again. Tommy looks for Gloria but can’t find her. Later, after JP admits to calling Kate, he and JP get into a fight. D-Mac bumps into Marshall, who apologises and informs him of Jenard’s secret visit to Cousin Buddy. The two devise a strategy for returning to CBI. Lt. Warshawski has demanded $50,000 from Bennigan or he will inform the police. Later, Bennigan goes to Diamond and holds him at gunpoint in order to retrieve the money. Knowing Tommy is behind Dahlia, Jenard and Blaxton talk about taking over Dahlia and overthrowing Diamond, not realising that Diamond has overheard their chat. Tommy is informed by Liliana that the Irish mob is on its way to town. Tommy then speaks with Claudia, who accuses him of perhaps setting up Vic. Tommy is adamantly opposed. Claudia informs Tommy that Gloria is dead, implying that Walter informed her that Tommy was the shooter. Fearing a danger from Walter, Tommy goes to Diamond and asks for help with hitters. Diamond declines. Tommy then agrees to meet with Mirkovi, who offers him 1.5 million dollars for hitters.
In return, Tommy informs him that Walter is on his tail. Tommy also tosses in some more cash for the man who murdered Gloria, and when he receives it, he murders him. Claudia notices Tommy and Mirkovi together and believes that they are working together. Vic and she then swear their allegiance to the family. Marshall and D-Mac approach Cousin Buddy and inform him that they can get him a direct line to Dahlia and that they can sit down with the connection. Jenard receives this information through Buddy. D-Mac and Tommy dispute when D-Mac tells Tommy about the plan with the Gary people, and Tommy tells D-Mac that he is his uncle. Later, the two reconcile and are on their way to see JP when they are ambushed. D-Mac is hit in the stomach. Tommy calls JP to the hospital and informs him that the boy who has been vandalising his store is his son, and that he has been shot. The Flynns gather with the Irish mob and ready to fight the Serbs and Tommy in battle.
