The third episode of Season 7 of “S.W.A.T.” is called “Good for Nothing,” and it’s full of action, drama, and tension as the elite team heads off on a dangerous mission that takes them across borders.
The first part of the episode shows how the team works together, with some internal changes being seen as Street is sent on duty to a different country while Luca is training in a different country. While these important team members are briefly away, the other members are left to do their jobs while feeling uneasy because they are missing familiar faces and getting to know new ones.
While these changes are happening on the inside, the team is called into action when Hondo (Shemar Moore), who is having a relaxing lunch with Nichelle, clearly hears gunshots. When Hondo quickly gets to the scene of the crime, he finds that the infamous Yami-Yami crime family has carried out a brutal attack on a pharmacy.
As the team rushes to figure out what’s going on and make sure the area is safe, they learn a shocking fact: the attack was meant to target Suki Ito, a woman who is in witness protection and hiding from the Yakuza’s relentless chase. The team needs to move quickly to figure out what’s going on with Suki and her dangerous situation because the stakes have been raised to levels that have never been seen before.
When it comes out that Suki was forced to make a phone call, setting a dangerous trap at the Hollywood Cemetery, things get even more tense. When innocent people’s lives are in danger, SWAT steps in and risks their own lives to free a man named Timoki Kaito, who turns out to be in a special Japanese witness protection program.
It turns out that Timoki used to be a yakuza enforcer who went into hiding with his family after refusing to carry out an immoral hit order from Orochi, who used to be his mentor but is now his rival and heads the Yami-Yami crime family. This makes the situation even more complicated.
As the standoff at the cemetery goes on, SWAT is stuck between people with different loyalties and dangerous alliances. They have to face their morals in the face of huge disadvantages. With people’s lives at risk and the safety of innocent bystanders in doubt, the team must rely on their training, creativity, and unwavering drive to get through the dangerous criminal underworld.
The thrilling ending shows that SWAT stops Orochi’s plans and saves Timoki’s family from immediate danger, but not before giving up their own sense of safety and stability. As the adrenaline wears off and the dust settles, the team has to deal with the results of their actions and the effects of their terrifying experience that will last for a long time.
“Good for Nothing” is an exciting and emotional episode that shows how strong, brave, and supportive the SWAT team is as they fight dangerous enemies and find their way through the murky seas of justice and redemption in a world full of lies and danger. This episode has exciting action scenes, interesting character development, and moral dilemmas that will make you think.
