NCIS: Hawai’i Season 3 Finale Part 1 Recap
In “Spill the Tea,” Part 1 of the Season 3 ending of CBS’s NCIS: Hawai’i, the NCIS Elite team faces their most dangerous case yet, making the stakes higher than ever. In the first thrilling scene of the show, Jesse, Kai, and Lucy are taken while they are out for a morning run and taken to the NCIS Elite team’s top-secret holding center. There, they work together with Jane and Dr. Chase to look into how Volkov, aka “The Chemist,” was killed by poisoning him with tea.
As Dr. Chase learns that Volkov’s weak immune system was caused by years of exposure to dangerous chemicals, Special Agent Swift, who gave Volkov tea every day, is cleared of any wrongdoing. There was a plant supplement in the tea that caused an allergic reaction that killed the person.
At the same time, Kai and Lucy find a killer working for a Bratva group while they are looking into the person who buys things for the Elite hub. This sends both the regular NCIS and Elite teams to a motel, where they fight the Bratva bad guys and eventually free Dr. Annalise Cruz, Volkov’s assistant, who gives them important information about Volkov’s bioweapon, Compound X.
Jane, Jesse, Dr. Chase, and Dr. Cruz are on the teams that go to Belgrade to find Volkov’s last lab. Even though there are problems with jurisdiction, Sam says that the Elite team’s specialty is fixing problems in secret. They get the weapons they need to storm the lab with the help of Milos, a local asset. Surprisingly, as they break into the lab, they find out that Dr. Cruz has been in Hawaii for weeks. He then releases Compound X on Rosemary, Thyme, and New Jesse, locking them in an airlock.
Sam stands outside the door and watches hopelessly because he can’t do anything. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, making people eagerly wait for the next show to find out what happens. The NCIS Elite team is up against their most dangerous enemy yet. Lives are at stake, and Compound X is a big threat.
