Franklin has promised him an exit if he can get him to Teddy, and he’s been hunting for one all season. Both the KGB and the DEA have provided Gustavo with a way out in order to find Teddy, but Gustavo places his trust in Franklin, attends Jerome’s repass, and gratefully accepts the cash and travel documents on offer. Franklin fulfills his part of the bargain with Gustavo. Until Gustavo arrives, Louie, Franklin, and Teddy have a face-to-face confrontation during which they will put Teddy to rest. They have beaten up Franklin so it appears there was a battle to kidnap him. Tony Marino, the DEA agent in charge of the assignment, is growing increasingly skeptical of Gustavo due to the latter’s panicked demeanor and silence. They suspect Gustavo, so they send along another DEA agent named Amanda to assist with the drop. Gustavo had other plans besides helping the DEA, so she reports back to her superior and they decide to check up on Xiamara. As anticipated, Tony and Gustavo go meet with Teddy, but when it becomes evident that Teddy won’t be there, Tony and Gustavo are arrested. In order to proceed with the plan and inform Teddy that they have Franklin, Gustavo pages Franklin to let him know that he is on his way to see Teddy before he gets arrested. This time, Teddy is the one who deviates from the plan, instructing Louie to go without seeing Teddy face to face and leaving Franklin behind. Franklin is left tied up for hours in the warehouse after he and Louie have gone. Franklin dreads when Teddy shows up without Gustavo.
Snowfall Season 6 Episode 8 Recap: Ending Explained!
Ruben, who has been spying on Gustavo, unexpectedly intercepts the DEA agents and murders them all, releasing Gustavo from custody. He yanks Gustavo out of the car and tells him that he is aware that Franklin is in the warehouse with Teddy and that he is going to take Gustavo to finish the task. To prevent Franklin from falling and hanging himself, Teddy has him strung up by his neck and balancing on a metal garbage can. Franklin attempts, right up until the very end, to reason his way out of the predicament but Teddy remains unmoved. For Franklin’s demise, Teddy mixes up a toxic concoction, and for the disposal of his corpse, he gathers a barrel’s worth of chemicals.
Matters get chaotic when Gustavo and Ruben rush in on him just as he’s about to inject it. Teddy’s guns are confiscated by Ruben, who then orders Gustavo to restrain Teddy with a forklift. The latter tells Gustavo in a hushed tone that he has another gun on his ankle, but Ruben hears him and demands that Gustavo retrieve it and hand it up. Instead of avoiding Ruben, Gustavo decides to take him on, and a fierce battle ensues between the two. Franklin’s footing is compromised in the heat of combat as the barrel beneath him is tipped over, leaving the kingpin precariously suspended. At the end of the fight, Gustavo seemed to have killed Ruben. Gustavo’s next inclination, to Teddy’s utter shock, is to go save Franklin.
