Franklin warns Louie (Angela Lewis) that the DEA has been monitoring her and is aware of her collaboration with Teddy, so she needs to leave town. While she was on the phone, the police arrived at her house. Quickly ending the call, she quietly exits the building. While driving her home, Buckley (Brandon Jay McLaren) inquires as to whether or not she has any hidden cash. Louie becomes suspicious of Buckley. When she exits the car, she discovers Buckley hiding behind a tree, smoking crack. She brandishes the weapon and orders Buckley to show him his pager. She learns that on the day she was abducted, Jerome (Amin Joseph) had paged Buckley for aid but received no reply. Louie becomes enraged and threatens to shoot him unless he hands over his car keys. She grabs them from his hands and speeds off in her car.
Franklin and Gustavo (Sergio Peris-Mencheta) have Teddy tied to a chair in a warehouse. They also tie up Ruben (Alejandro Edda) and sit him down across from Teddy before laying a sack over Teddy’s head. They disregard Ruben’s pleading and sling a burlap sack over his head as well. After Teddy and Ruben are looked after by Sharon ‘Cissy’ Saint and (Michael Hyatt) Leon (Isaiah John), Franklin takes Gustavo to the airport. Gustavo asks Franklin to assassinate Teddy before he boards the plane, presumably to prevent Teddy from pursuing Gustavo and his family. Cissy has one-on-one conversations with both Ruben and Teddy when she is left alone with them. She abandons Ruben because he betrayed her trust and used her and her kid as pawns in his scheme to bring down Teddy.
The matriarch Cissy then has a conversation with Teddy, who asks her to assist him. He tells her in their back-and-forth that Alton is actually still alive. He says Teddy drugged and kidnapped Alton (Kevin Carroll) on the day of his purported death and hid him in a prison cell in Puerto Rico. Cissy is so shocked by this revelation that she storms out. Franklin gets back to the warehouse. He pulls the trigger twice, once to demand his money back and once to threaten violence. Teddy claims that Franklin is playing a risky game with blanks. When Franklin fires the gun into the air. Cissy enters the room. She urges Franklin to let the KGB deal with Teddy and to go.
Veronique informs Franklin at the safe house that they have run out of money and their first check has bounced. Franklin goes back to Teddy and presses him for details about his wealth. Franklin rips open Teddy’s shirt and pours hot corn oil on his chest. Franklin is inquiring as to why Teddy would steal the funds. At first, Teddy explains that he took it because the funds may be used to defend democracy at home and abroad. After realizing that the money was never Franklin’s, Teddy admits that he took it. Teddy then claims that Franklin was only able to succeed because Teddy made it possible for him to do so.

In a public promenade, Franklin, Teddy, and Cissy meet up with Agent Havemeyer (Matthew Alan), and Teddy makes the final phone call to transfer Franklin’s share of the money. While Sharon ‘Cissy’ Saint is waiting to speak to a bank representative, she asks Teddy where her husband is being kept in Puerto Rico. He snaps back cruelly that he did, in fact, murder Alton.
