Star Wars renegade clone squadron Clone Force 99 has returned in a new Season 2 trailer for “Star Wars: The Bad Batch.” Dave Filoni created the show, which he co-founded with Jennifer Corbett, who also writes for it.
As clone troopers are rapidly being replaced by humans, it appears that some time has passed since the first season, and the Bad Batch warriors have grown older and are now sporting some new gear. Emperor Palpatine, Commander Cody, and Wookie Jedi Padawan Gungi are also seen. Dee Bradley Baker reprises his role as most of the clones in The Bad Batch, and Michelle Ang plays Omega, a child female clone who replaces Crosshair, who sided with the Empire.
The new teaser was debuted in Anaheim, California at the Star Wars Celebration. Clone Force 99 battles numerous foes throughout the trailer, with a visit from Clone Commander Cody and a sequence hinting Alpha will confront the ominous Emperor Palpatine. There were also a few fleeting shots that appeared to include Gungi, a Wookie Jedi who was last seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
