In the episode, Sylvester goes to The Gambler’s trailer to conduct some research, but while there, he is assaulted by an unidentified assailant and suffers critical wounds that send him to the hospital – of course, after Courtney discovers him. Dr. Charles McNider, whom Pat enlists for assistance, notices that Sylvester is mending amazingly swiftly despite his severe injuries. Dr. McNider provides an intriguing theory, claiming that Sylvester may have been shot with energy when he was first slain by the Staff in an effort to save him. The idea is that Sylvester has been slowly being repaired and healed over time by the energy of the Staff, which is what brought him back to life and is now helping him heal better. Beth discovers a skin cell at the crime scene that appears to be Dragon King’s. The following day, when Courtney attempts to speak to Cameron, he becomes enraged and unintentionally uses his talents. He admits that he is aware that Jordan’s death was not a coincidence and that he wishes to carry on Jordan’s charitable legacy. He is persuaded by Courtney to use his abilities to create art, and the two of them kiss. Pat offers Sylvester a new Starman outfit in the meanwhile. Together with Yolanda and Rick, he then searches the tunnels below Blue Valley for Dragon King. Cindy notices that the skin cell related to her when her skin starts to change.
