Andy Herrera is in command when the firefighters arrive. She tells Ruiz to go carefully and promises to bring help in waves. He disobeys orders and runs down the ridge to save his companion. He meets Sullivan, who chastises him for ignoring him. The driver had been ejected from the vehicle but had no pulse. Hunt is still alive when Warren and Sullivan find him. Maya starts hacking at the SUV. Sullivan explains it to Hunt using his military experience. The team carefully hoists Owen up to the AID car. But Ben joins the lift, clearly against protocol. Andy sighs, but they reach the road safely. Herrera and Beckett tell Warren not to accompany Hunt to the hospital. Herrera’s leadership impresses the boss. To Grey Sloan Memorial, Owen Hunt was alive. It will be revealed in the second half of the Grey’s Anatomy Station 19 crossover.
