Station 19 Season 6 Finale Recap: Who is the new Captain?
Before the scent of smoke hit Kitty’s (Tricia O’Kelley) nostrils, the party was already a catastrophe. Ben stood there, his eyes downcast, as the Medal of Valor was presented to him. He didn’t want to be there, but he knew he had to accept the honor. In a dramatic turn of events, Natasha Ross’ decision to promote Andy Herrera (Jaina Lee Ortiz) as the new captain of Station 19 has left Sullivan feeling betrayed and resulted in a heartbreaking breakup with the chief. In the latest episode, Theo’s relentless quest for the title of Most Intolerable Character reaches new heights as he decides to end things with Vic.
In the finale episode, Jack Gibson (Grey Damon) goes on a date with Chaos. Kate was a total bore, leaving him no choice but to focus on Nanette, the expectant server determined to give her child away. As a matter of fact, when she went into labor, Gibson eagerly offered to drive her to Grey Sloan. As he made his way to the coat closet to retrieve his keys, he suddenly caught sight of something that made him cringe. Theo and Kate engage in a passionate make-out session. “Consider that Most Intolerable Prize yours, Ruiz!” she exclaimed with a fierce tone.
Station 19 Season 6 Finale, Andy and union president Drew Ferris (played by Riley Smith) stumble upon a shocking revelation – the hotel’s dance floor is on the verge of collapsing. Just as they were about to lead everyone to safety with a powered slide, disaster struck. Fire Chief Ross (Merle Dandridge), Kate, Dixon, and Nanette were among those who were taken down. As Jack stumbled, he teetered on the edge of danger. Just as he was about to plummet, a hero emerged and saved him from certain doom. Though not unscathed, Jack was grateful to be alive.
As Nanette was rescued from the debris, Carina and Ben sprang into action in the kitchen, working tirelessly to rescue both the mother and her newborn. The fate of Nanette remained uncertain, while the newborn appeared to have survived. In a dramatic turn of events, Sullivan’s words were quickly retracted upon finding Natasha. He was determined to never give away to them, for as long as she came back to life. As if on signal, her eyes fluttered open and the two lovers shared a kiss, perhaps their first that wasn’t shrouded in secrecy.
Station 19 Season 6 Finale Ending! Is Jack Gibson Dead?
As it seemed, Kate had the ability to pull through. Meanwhile, Dixon… Travis (Jay Hayden) tried his hardest to rescue Emmett’s father Michael Dixon (Lachlan Buchanan), but unfortunately, the villain met his demise. However, before taking his last breath, he made sure to express to Travis that he held a special place in his heart. Do we really need him anymore if Theo is going to embrace his role as the ultimate antagonist? As the season drew to a close, the climactic scene saw Jack poised to reveal Theo and Kate’s secret tryst to Vic, but he suddenly collapsed due to sustaining yet another head injury. Did he suffer a concussion? The scene was filled with tension as the characters tried to make sense of the situation. The big reveal would have to wait until the highly anticipated premiere of the next season.
