Will Diane Lewis Return to “Station 19” This Season?
Tracie Thoms plays Diane Lewis, and fans of “Station 19” have been wondering if she will show up again this season. Station 19 Season 7 Episode 3 Recap
In the newest episode of Station 19, Beckett returns to the station following treatment but is no longer the captain. Andy is now captain, and Beckett is getting used to his new job. He has to work at a desk for now, so he can’t go to the Pride Parade because he doesn’t want to be around all the drunk people.
Though, Ben’s daughter is in the parade, and Pruitt’s aunt is taking care of her. Maya is having a hard time with her worry now that she is away from her new baby Liam, whom she had with her wife Carina. Since Ben is the only other parent at the stop, he offers support and tells Maya that their kids see them as heroes.
During the walk, the station runs into protesters, one of whom is Maya’s brother and is yelling homophobic insults. Maya is shocked and doesn’t know what to do because she has a past of problems with her family. She doesn’t call her parents or Carina because she thinks Carina is with Liam. Carina, on the other hand, has taken Liam to Bailey’s house, where Bailey gives her support and baby items she no longer needs from her own pregnancy.
Montgomery has a tense meeting with his father at the parade. His father is now living with his longtime affair partner in public. Montgomery’s boyfriend Eli talks to him about how he’s acting, which makes Montgomery admit that he cheated on Eli. This new information makes them fight with each other.
The show also talks about how Vic feels about Montgomery and what he did, as well as how hard it is for Fire Chief Ross to deal with budget cuts and a new mayor. In the end, the station throws a Pride party where Montgomery’s father says he’s sorry for teaching his son to be ashamed of being gay and wishes him happiness. In spite of the problems and noise from the protesters earlier, the show ends on a happy note with the station enjoying the Pride party.
