Station 19 Season 7 Episode 4 Recap

In the episode titled “Trouble Man,” The group was put to the test during a demanding 24-hour shift. Andy had to make a decision that would not come easily, and Maya and Carina were adjusting to being new parents.

A full moon cast an eerie glow over the station as the show began. As Jack’s interim substitute, Kate joined the team in the hopes of a tranquil evening that, of course, didn’t pan out. With budget cuts hanging over them, the station geared itself for a busy night ahead.

When Fire Chief Ross informed Andy of the budget changes, she felt under pressure to find methods to save costs, even if it meant making layoffs. The tension in the station increased, with Andy feeling tense and the firefighters experiencing stress.

Meanwhile, rumors began to fly when Theo was seen having sex with Kate soon after splitting from Vic. Vic played it cool and decided not to think about it, even though Montgomery was itching for retribution. Rather, she turned her attention to more urgent issues, such as how budget cuts would affect Dean Miller’s CrisisOne program.

The group was deeply shaken when they were called to a mass casualty incident later in the evening. Andy arranged for everyone to attend counseling sessions in order to deal with the trauma, but hostilities persisted.

Unexpectedly, the new mayor and Fire Chief Ross came to an agreement to protect the fire department’s budget from reduction. But Andy was treated with distrust and annoyance when he tried to gather information about the agreement.

As the show came to a close, the team was dealing with the fallout from their decisions, which included losing a vital piece of equipment and learning that layoffs were going to happen soon. Vic in particular was experiencing emotional difficulties; she felt numb and cut off from the world.
