SWAT Season 5 Episode 19 Recap
Before Street’s flight to Miami, Street and Chris converse over the phone. Street encounters a US Marshal and Galloway, a violent prisoner. Hondo gives Nichelle his personal key to his home and invites her to live with him. After Deacon informs them of the news, Luca and Chris pester Hondo to spill the beans. Galloway discovers a homemade gun made by a passenger in the plane’s restroom. He removes his restraints with a pin. Galloway sends a message saying that in exchange for his wife’s release from prison, he’ll let the passengers free once they arrive in LA. The flight crew and law enforcement will remain on the scene. Galloway just tortured another officer in order to elude capture. 20-Squad is attempting to decipher the plot. Hondo makes contact with the jet, and once Street is on the line, he informs Hondo and Hicks of the number of hijackers present and their location in code. With the help of S.W.A.T. Academy recruits, the squad runs a hijacking drill on the S.W.A.T. training plane. The US Marshal goes along as Street tells the stewardess to grab his stun gun from his backpack.
20-Squad is attempting to polish their strategy. Galloway uses the stun gun on Street after he tries to fight back and the stewardess is captured. Galloway establishes new terms thanks to Street, and the plane is scheduled to land in less than three hours. 20-Squad is back to square one because their plan will not work with a full cabin. Luca discusses a hearing problem with Nora. Mrs. Galloway meets with Deacon to persuade her husband to reconsider the conditions of the contract. The stewardess is consoled by Street, and they discuss their broken relationships and where they call home. Knowing what’s at stake, Chris goes overboard when the squad tries out a new strategy. Because of her hearing impairments, Nora prefers to quit rather than wait. Chris visits with Mrs. Galloway in order to gain insight into her mind. She agrees to assist. Street frees himself and the US Marshal with a hair pin from the stewardess. When the jet lands, 20-Squad gets to work. Another hijacker is posing as a passenger, according to the street. That is, 20-Squad is only anticipating three hijackers, not four. 20-Squad breaks through to save the day. Chris notices the stewardess conversing with Street, who is observing the incident. She offers to purchase a drink and meal for him. Nichelle reconsiders her decision to live with Hondo. She admits to seeing a doctor and learning that her odds of having a baby are fewer than she imagined. Nichelle is aware of Hondo’s desire to start a family, but all Hondo wants is her.
