The Blacklist episode begins with Dembe whisking Red away the night Liz died, and at Red’s direction, Ressler was lost in a multi-vehicle accident. When Red returns home with a blank expression on his face, Dembe wraps him in a blanket. Dembe wakes up the next morning with the blanket over him and Red is gone. Marvin and Raymond are currently arguing about Dembe’s role in Liz’s death. Three port managers in Reddington have been slain. Red seeks assistance from Harold. After Liz’s death, Dembe reveals he took over for Raymond. Baltimore, according to Dembe, will be the next target. Boukman Baptiste is behind the attacks and he’s seeking for Dembe. Dembe, according to Marvin, should have been Reddington’s replacement. Dembe assumed his assassination crew had killed Baptiste in the past, but instead they shot his son. Dembe is struck unconscious. Ressler apprehends him and sets him free. Baptiste is after Isabella, Dembe’s daughter. Since Dembe joined the FBI, he and Isabella have been on the outs. Isabella refuses to pick up the phone when Ressler calls her. Baptiste kidnaps her and holds her at gunpoint. Dembe and Ressler arrive too late and discover a table with a number inscribed on it.
