The Blacklist Season 9 Episode 6 Recap
Dr. Roberta Sand enjoys a regular therapy session with a client, but her advice leads to the death of a benefactor. Red discovers that she is a therapist who helps the mob commit crimes. Dembe and Park apprehend gunman Randall Beasley, and the Task Force learns from him that Sand is the one who duped Beasley into murdering the victim. After that, Beasley assists the troops in capturing Sand. They also learn that Sand’s son Dante was in difficulty at school and was sheltered by crimelord Vito Decanio from the authorities in exchange for Sand mentoring his people. Sand agrees to work for Red for a few months on a secluded island. Red is surprised when Agnes informs him that her mother told her that he is Russian. She even states that Liz saw him as a significant figure in her life.
That’s when Red knows Liz may have read the letter he wrote to her. Liz had read the letter, according to her fingerprints, which could explain why she didn’t shoot Red and ended up dying herself. Dembe, who was only supposed to give Liz the letter when Red died, now feels deceived by Red. Park seeks advice from Aram about her failing family life. Cooper states that Detective Heber came to his house, putting him in jeopardy of being discovered. Cooper’s friend Lew, on the other hand, informs him that the ballistics do not match the latter’s gun, implying that he was framed. Cooper receives a phone call seconds later from someone threatening him for tampering with evidence.
