We see Kiesha (Birgundi Baker), Octavia (Tabitha Brown), and Dre (Miriam A. Hyman) as she prepares for motherhood in ‘The Chi’ season 4, episode 7. Kevin dances with another girl at a dance hoping to attract Jemma’s eye. Jemma (Judae’a Brown) is jealous of them and develops feelings. Nina has cheated upon Dre, but she is reluctant to admit it. Mayor Douda takes a stand against sex trafficking and transforms a brothel into a safe place for women.

Messiah finally admits to her desire to become a mother. Octavia too acknowledges this. Nina (Tyla Abercrumbie) isn’t convinced, even though Keisha’s words are for a while reassuring. After his split with Jemma, Kevin is now exploring casual dating. At the video store, he meets Lanae, a girl he is interested in casual dating. Kevin offers to take Lanae out on a date after a few rounds, but she isn’t ready. Mayor Douda, with Trig’s and Imani’s support, closes down a brothel and transforms it into a shelter for women. Emmett isn’t entirely happy with their arrangement. However, he goes to a party with Tiffany (Hannaha Hall) where he and Tiffany explore their sexuality. Jake and Papa have a conversation about relationships at Emmett’s restaurant.
Papa was sad to see that his ex, Maisha (Genesis Denise Hale) had moved on to dancing with another man. He promised to get her back. Papa took Maisha to his place and shared with her how he felt about her and how much he misses her. Kevin and Jemma meet up later to have a chat. Kevin asks Jemma if she still loves him. Could they get back together? Is she worthy of him? Keisha went on another date with Christian. She had another panic attack, and she stormed off. However, the young man consoled Keisha- he understood the pain she was experiencing.
After Dre’s cheating, Nina feels guilty. she finally breaks down in front of Dre, revealing everything about her reckless error. Trig has to deal with Terri and Jamal, a violent couple, which almost puts his life at risk. Trig disarms Terri’s brother Lance, who is about to murder Jamal. Jamal then grabs the gun and shoots Lance. Keisha, symbolizing her Black Messiah, names her baby Ronnie.
