The Company You Keep Episode 8: Prison Break

In “The Company You Keep,” Milo Ventimiglia focuses on family once again, but this time it’s a thieving family, and the love interest he’s attempting to juggle is actually a CIA spy. Charlie is recovering from a disastrous relationship when he meets Emma (Catherine Haena Kim) who hails from a politically connected family and the two spend roughly 36 hours together in a hotel room, during which time they flirt and lie to one other. The fact that Charlie’s family is in debt to a criminal organization that Emma happens to be investigating adds an extra layer of complexity to this meet-crime relationship.

In Episode 7 of Season, 1 Charlie finally had an opportunity to share his feelings with Emma in an unorthodox setting. However, the “con” wasn’t as important at this time. We saw Daphne’s flirtatiousness with Charlie in Episode 6, for during this episode the two were all business. They were focused on a common goal and collaborated like old pros to achieve it. Do you want to know more about The Company You Keep episode 8 after tonight? A trailer for the eighth episode was published as well as being available on tvacute.com. Let’s check out the sneak peek and see if we can guess what the authors have in store for us.

The Company You Keep Episode 7 Recap

Charlie wants Daphne to invite Willford to Pine Grove and return his stolen picture. Emma tells Charlie that every year the top one percent gather at Pine Grove for a conference to debate the national security agenda.   Emma has Charlie pose as a former government operative.  Emma offers him an earpiece to allow her to listen in while she is physically present. When Birdie inquires about Simon, Leo reveals that he visited their apartment late one night and saw Ollie alone in the frigid bathtub and Simon passed out on the floor. After he had taken care of her, he warned Simone to quit doing drugs or he would kill him.
Daphne and Willford have a meeting in Pine Grove, but she won’t allow Charlie to come. Emma advises him to win Daphne’s confidence. Willford declines Daphne’s offer at the meeting since he can’t steal too many weapons without suspicion. When Charlie hears that Daphne spoke with Willford, he immediately tells her that they need to supply Brad with more guns.   Next, Charlie and Daphne go to spend time with Congressman Eisenberg, who eventually agrees to help after being wooed by Daphne during a tennis match. Vik, a fellow Pine Grove resident, pays Emma a visit. When they go excessively close to one another, a feedback signal is picked up by Vik and his partner’s earpieces. After realizing that someone is keeping watch, Vik begins a thorough search of the premises. Emma’s room is searched, but before he can scan her, she destroys her earpiece.
The final step is to convince the Department of Defense to give the armory a contract to manufacture the new weapon. Bridges, who is now the undersecretary of the department, used to be Daphne’s professor; nevertheless, when she encounters him, he has no recollection of her at all and is fixated on Charlie rather. When Simon asks to meet Birdie, she tells Ollie about it. Bridges allow Charlie to have a private party. Charlie comes to terms with his support for war and the need to alter his strategy at the party with Bridges. However, Vik interrupts to start scanning the guests. When he reaches Charlie, though, he notices Emma shaking her head outside and decides to switch off his scanner to protect Charlie. Bridges sign the agreement the following day, and Daphne approaches Charlie about becoming his business partner. Emma explains to Charlie that she sought Vik’s cooperation solely for the sake of the operation. .
