Dan is sad since he missed five years of his granddaughters’ life when Darlene moved an hour away in Chicago. Don Blansky is selling his little Victorian home, which he uses for his funeral business, because he wants more space. He gives it to Becky and Darlene for only $500 a month because people are apprehensive to live in a former funeral parlour. Darlene and Becky have decided to decline Blansky’s offer because they believe the home is haunted by decades of tragedy and grief. Dan feels they’re making a mistake, but Louise has a better idea. What if Darlene purchases the property, demolishes the house, and Dan constructs a new home for them? Darlene, Becky, and Dan are all on board with the scheme. Ben creates a commercial for his hardware store that is broadcast at petrol stations, and it boosts his sales by 25%. Jackie is also interested in making one. Ben agrees to assist her in filming it, but Jackie’s plans are far too extravagant and costly. She and Ben get into a fight. Jackie apologises to Ben and admits that the Lunch Box has overwhelmed her. She works 85 hours per week and is considering selling her company, despite the fact that it has always been her dream. To make things easier, Ben offers to assist her upgrade and computerise her payroll and inventory systems. When things grow too much for her, he offers to be her sounding board. Jackie is relieved and thankful.
