The Equalizer Season 2 Episode 13 Recap
Dante Marcus (Tory Kittles) is racially profiled at a petrol station in this episode. The portrayal of police brutality at this point is chilling. They approached Dante. His driver’s license was demanded. They were going to search his car’s trunk without a warrant, and when Dante sought to identify himself as a cop, he was tased. Dante was thrown into the back of the car. They drove away, completely oblivious to the fact that his sons were using the restroom at the petrol station. Dante was transported to an old warehouse Dante did a fantastic job of eliciting every emotion and channeling every ounce of pain. When one of Dante’s daughters phones her, Robyn McCall (Queen Latifah) becomes involved. The sheriff’s treatment of Robyn exemplifies how easy hate crimes are covered up. Dante was about to die just for profiling the wrong black man. For Barnes, Deputy Morales lied to the sheriff.
The sheriff demanded to know why their GPS was turned off the night a detective went missing, despite the fact that they claimed to have apprehended the suspect. They were humiliated when Dante identified himself as a cop. They didn’t report the horrific assault on another cop. Dante left a code, which Robyn deciphered to locate him. McCall noticed Dante had been moved and decided to check the road, which she was glad she did. She later discovered Dante, who had been shot. He managed to elude the cops, but not without suffering injuries. The scene was called in by McCall. Dante was sent to the hospital right away. He received therapy and was able to make it through the trauma. He now has to respond to difficult queries from his children. But they all made it out alive. McCall deserves credit. After everything, Dante was ready to surrender his badge, and Grafton tried to persuade him otherwise. Only the stated that he had to leave. He was terrified of what would happen if he stayed.
