The Equalizer Season 2 Episode 17 Recap

Julien Thibideaux (Yusuf Gatewood) was certain that his younger sister Calista was in danger based on the details that emerged in his head. Robyn didn’t want to dismiss Julien out of hand, but she was also wary. She then turned to Harry, Mel, and Det. Dante for assistance in determining if Julien was on to something or not. Julien turned out to be correct on practically every point. When Robyn went to Calista’s apartment for a wellness check, the man with the enormous scar on his face that Julien had imagined assaulted her, and she beat him off. Meanwhile, Harry discovered ATM video of Calista withdrawing $1,000 and handing it over to a drug dealer. Robyn roughed up and questioned the drug dealer, who admitted to selling Calista a pistol rather than drugs. If Calista wasn’t in danger, why would she require a gun? Why hadn’t Calista’s editors at the magazine where she worked heard from her in days? The issue was muddled further when the scarred guy was discovered dead in the trunk of his silver Mercedes. Julien was arrested for questioning by the police, but his remarks about his visions, nightmares and unpredictable conduct made Dante worry if Julien should be committed. Julien’s police record created a picture of an erratic, recovering pill addict against whom Calista had previously requested a restraining order.

Julien stuck to his narrative, and when Mel went to the bad guys’ hideout, she discovered illicit guns with scratched-off serial numbers. Mel also ran into Calista at the hideout, but a terrified Calista didn’t recognize Mel and discharged her weapon at Mel before fleeing. Calista was hunting for a Serbian mobster named Milosz, who was the man behind the guns, and the guns were somehow linked to a community activist named Rosa, whom Calista had been interviewing for an upcoming story. Calista, on the other hand, never finished or submitted the essay, instead of focusing on Milosz. Calista suspected Milosz of collaborating with a councilor to have the guns obtained through a gun amnesty program stripped of their serial numbers and resold to the Serbian mafia. In a twist, the councilman was not guilty, but Rosa was. When Robyn and Mel arrived. Delilah Rosa, and Milosz were going to kill Calista. Rosa was apprehended by Dante and his men, and Julien was brought to the crime scene to be reunited with Calista. Robyn realized she needed to check on her family after the two hugged warmly, especially because she was still carrying emotional baggage from her father’s death. Robyn was assured by Aunt Vi that her father loves her and that his death was not her fault. Delilah approached Robyn and begged to speak with her mother alone just. Delilah sobbed as she admitted that she despised lying to her father about what Robyn truly did, and that she was scared that Robyn might die as a vigilante for justice.
