The Equalizer Season 3 Episode 8 Recap

In the first few seconds of the program, we are informed of the situation: Mel is standing in an alley at night with a revolver pointed at a man, demanding to know where Edison is. Her sister Ruby had called her just then to report that she had seen a man steal Edison’s automobile from outside a coffee shop and drive off with him still inside. Mel is successful in locating the other suspect. Unfortunately, her good fortune runs out when he escapes, is struck by a car, and is killed. Mel is upset and goes to her pub to drink, but Harry convinces her to recruit Robyn instead. Robyn, too, is worrying about Mel, but for different reasons: the next morning, she tells Dante about her disappointment in Mel’s betrayal. Delilah is feeling bad about everything, but she is trying to keep her mind off of it by assisting Aunt Vi with an art competition she has entered at a nearby gallery. There is also Vi’s girlfriend Trish present to lend moral support. Hedge fund manager Edison is being sought by Robyn, Mel, and Ruby.

It’s impossible to overlook the tension between Mel and her sister Ruby, who is a mother and taking responsibility for their parents. In contrast, Mel and Harry’s undercover work as multiple of Robyn’s vigilante operations is kept from her. In retrospect, Harry realizes that the carjacker is a seasoned crook who has been picking on Edison because of his position as manager of high-stakes financial operations. After seeing Edison’s destroyed apartment, Mel had a hard time of her own. Robyn doesn’t need anyone to reassure her when she goes to Edison’s workplace and discovers that some of the staff are envious of his new position. She does some sneaky file sharing with Harry, sending him files she’s downloaded from a computer. Twenty million dollars were moved from the account of one of Edison’s corporate backers to an untraceable bank in the Cayman Islands, he learns. Mel initially responds defensively, but she eventually concedes that it appears her brother is committing fraud for the Colombian mob, which leader has connections to the corporate investor. Dante, ever ingenious, discovers Edison’s submerged automobile; Mel breathes a sigh of relief as they do not uncover a body.

Around this time, Harry notices Edison in the footage from a traffic camera. Finally, Mel catches up with her brother at the bus terminal, right as he’s about to leave town. When he insists he’s innocent, she accepts his word for it. He claims someone at the company framed him because they know one of his investors is a front for a criminal organization. He evaded capture by his car thief and has been on the run since its. Mel takes Edison to one of Robyn’s houses to conceal him, but they don’t have much time until they’re discovered because Edison has already given Ruby their whereabouts. Ruby is shocked to see Mel fight off the assailants, but Mel is ultimately unsuccessful and Edison is kidnapped. Mel and Robyn head to Edison’s workplace because they reason the mob wants him to return the money.

The Equalizer Season 3 Episode 8 Ending

Robyn kills a couple of men and then she and Mel go and save Edison. Mel almost completely decimates Edison’s car thief before Dante arrives to apprehend him. Robyn says that she is still furious with Mel, despite the fact that they are working together. Also, they haven’t solved the case yet because they haven’t found out who planted Edison. It doesn’t matter because Harry is already looking into it. Using additional technological wizardry, he identifies the guilty party as one of Edison’s coworkers, whom Dante swiftly arrests. Now that they are reunited, Ruby and Mel are quick to make up with their sibling. In this letter, Ruby apologizes to her sister for underestimating her and says her life isn’t ideal. They both agree not to inform their parents about Mel’s other existence, despite their mutual curiosity. Robyn reprimands Delilah for cheating on her when they return to the McCall home, but she is still permitted to assist Mel with her projects.
