The Equalizer Season 4 Episode 8 Recap
In the most recent episode of “The Equalizer,” Detective Dante was in a tough spot when his dad, Big Ben, asked him to go with him to a wake out of state. Even though he didn’t want to, Dante agreed because his father’s parole terms said he had to have a police officer with him.
Johnny D, Big Ben’s old partner, was buried there. Unlike Big Ben, Johnny D had been able to avoid being caught. When Dante found out that his father was still talking to Johnny D, he thought there might be more to the story than what his father was telling him.
At the same time, Robyn and her family were excited to go to the neighborhood block party that happened every year. But when Dee ran into an old friend, Cameron, she told him something shocking about her plans for the future. Cameron, who had chosen not to go to college but to start his own app, made Dee think about joining the service instead.
The fun stopped when someone stole the raffle money that was meant to help a neighborhood kid pay for college. Mel and Dee thought that Cameron’s friend Tyrese was up to no good because he was acting strangely. When they saw Tyrese wearing the same sneakers as the thief, it proved what they already thought.
Cam and Dee ran up to Tyrese and pulled out a gun. He then ran away, leaving a bag of stolen money behind. Because Mel was worried about Dante’s safety, she chose not to go after Tyrese. Instead, she went to check on Dante and his dad.
It turned out that the funeral trip was a trick set up by a fake probation officer to get Dante and Big Ben to fall into a trap set by the Blanco family. The Blancos wanted to get back at Big Ben and Dante for wrongs they had done in the past.
There was a dangerous chase that ended with Dante’s father being shot and having to be put into a coma. Before he passed out, Big Ben told Dante that he had another son, which explained why he had been absent from Dante’s life in the past.
In the end, Robyn’s plans to enjoy a day off were ruined when Dante’s family problems came to light. She also learned that she couldn’t date Miles because of her secret job as “The Equalizer.”
Dee didn’t tell her family about Tyrese’s secret because she felt sorry for him and didn’t want to judge him. At the end of the show, Dante was still having a hard time dealing with his father’s secrets and the fact that his half-brother now knew them.
