Meanwhile, the squad continues searching for the missing Barry. When they investigate, they find remnants of a radioactive isotope of cobalt and come under attack from malevolent forces. Iris discovers her old manuscript about Barry going missing in Crisis, and Khione grows plant cells in the bodies of the fallen workers to help them breathe. Iris and the baby are saved by Speed Force Nora, and they learn that Khione can assist them. When Khione takes the crystal out of Mark, it disappears. Iris goes into labor in the Time Vault, and Barry returns in the nick of time to help. But Barry has once again vanished. Iris’s office is broken into by Dr. Malcolm Gilmore, who has decided he must learn the truth about Eddie Thawne’s death. After a sudden realization that he is Eddie Thawne, he rushes to dig up Eddie’s grave, only to discover that it is empty.
