What occurred to Caitlin Snow was one of the major mysteries heading into the penultimate season of The Flash. The resident scientist of Team Flash froze herself in a makeshift cryochamber towards the end of the eighth season in an attempt to bring back her dead sister, Frost, or create an exact copy of her. To be sure, the figure who emerged from the machine in the season 9 debut didn’t look like anyone we’d ever seen before. Who is she, though? Where does she want to go? Finally, Caitlin—what the heck happened to her? Although some of the solutions provided by in The Flash Season 9 Episode 2 may be unpopular with fans, they are nonetheless welcome. Because it seems that Caitlin Snow has been killed off and replaced by a third, new unexplored Snow sister, a lady who knows nothing about her origins and who has been born into the superhero world with no prior experience or training. As the season draws to a close, it appears that much of her trip will involve discovering her place on Team Flash and in the world.

The Flash Season 9 Episode 2 Recap
The Flash Season 9 Episode 2: Who is Khione?
Who is Khione? Even still, the identity of Khione remains a pressing mystery. We don’t think everything is explained perfectly there, so let’s discuss that for a while. This is essentially a brand-new persona, one that is both a clean slate and an allusion to Dr. Thomas Snow. There is some foundation for this, but her appearance also solidified the sad truth that Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost are no longer with us. Sadly, this signals the end of a very unique and memorable TV staple. Let’s talk about Khione because, as she discovers who she is, that blank slate quality can be both empowering and terrifying, and it also makes her vulnerable to manipulation if she doesn’t guard herself.
In “Hear No Evil,” we learn that Caitlin (also played by Danielle Panabaker) was killed as part of the plot to revive Frost. A new character known as Snow (also Panabaker) has appeared. This news sparked a discussion regarding who they need to try to bring back: Caitlin or Frost? but Mark (Jon Cor) is still set on bringing back Frost. They hold a vote when it’s established that Snow can return to the CRC, but ultimately they let Snow make the call. She decides on Khione as her new name to honour Caitlin, “who created a person with feeling and free will.” She informs Mark that she has decided against returning to the CRC and will instead pursue other options. Caitlin’s decision to do this was her own, she says, and now she won’t back down. Snow also reveals her name to be Khione, the same name Thomas Snow had for his imagined creation. Mark is devastated, but Hartley Rathaway (Andy Mientus) arrives and destroys the CRC to impose Mark’s new friend Khione’s decision. At the episode’s conclusion, Red Death having exploited the villains working for her stood above Central City, a broken bat symbol on her armour, and vowed vengeance.
It seems that We also got to see some wonderful scenes between Khione and Hartley and it was Khione who ultimately destroyed the CRC to save his new friend. Khione displayed some heightened levels of perception in this episode. She also shared how the sound of rain and the sights and sounds of nature brought her comfort and serenity. And then there’s her name’s storied past as both a nymph and the Snow Queen. Just how much, if any, will that matter in the future? The actress who portrays Caitlin, Frost, and Khione has yet to learn the specifics of the show’s conclusion.
