The Good Doctor Season 5 Season 14 Recap
The hospital staff got together for a potluck. They’d all brought something to eat with them. They were all eating from the same plate. Except for Shaun. He refuses to eat, while Morgan has suggestions for how to arrange the furniture. Andrews is putting everything he has into this. Lim is concerned about everyone’s departure for New York. Shaun is called away to see to a patient who has had his toe amputated. Meanwhile, Asher’s boyfriend has out-of-town guests, but Asher isn’t invited. Lim hiccups in the OR and believes she sees a snake emerging from the patient. She passes out. When Shaun returns to the main floor, he notices that everyone is acting strangely. Morgan informs Shaun that there was a poison present at the potluck. Shaun gets a tackle hug from Lea. Asher blathers on about his lover refusing to let him meet his pals. Morgan is supposed to put the recliner in the living room, according to Park. Shaun examines Lea, who has a high fever and speaks in a babyish tone. He transported the man to the hospital for an operation. He was working with Dr. Lim when he noticed that he was acting strangely.
Lim began to see visions of a genuine snake. She also threw up. The only people who were not impacted were Morgan and Glassman. Lea was also affected. She and the others must have consumed something that had a negative impact on their health. Morgan initially mistook it for food illness. Only the patients didn’t have typical food poisoning symptoms. They were on psychedelic, as evidenced by their hallucinations and weaker inhibitions. Lea had a feeling it was LSD. She’d know because she used to work in IT, and those individuals, she claims, are always lighted. Lea also knew how to get the most out of this high. As a result, Morgan assigned Lea the task of speaking with the others affected and compiling a list of what they all ate. In the meantime, Morgan, Shaun, and Glassman began treating the patients. When one of the nurses suggested to Shaun that he didn’t have to wait for Glassman’s approval, he agreed. He could just start treating people right away. That is exactly what he did. Shaun moved rapidly, and he quickly made his way through everyone who needed assistance. However, speed does not always imply quality. Shaun had run into a difficult patient and wanted to contact Glassman. Glassman and Shaun got into a fight about his work. He believed Shaun was more concerned in closing cases than with assisting patients. That’s what he said to him. They squabbled over it before returning to treating their own patients. Shaun later learned from Lea that she was able to locate the meal that they had consumed. It had something to do with the sweet potatoes. Asher was the one who cooked them, and he thought he did it according to the recipe’s instructions.
The doctors instructed Asher’s boyfriend to go get all of the ingredients for the supper. As it turns out, Asher used crushed-up mushrooms by accident. Because the symptoms were caused by the mushrooms, Lea was correct in calling it a psychedelic. They were able to treat the symptoms once they recognized what was causing them. However, a few events occurred before a remedy could be devised. Lim and Andrews were able to get some things off their chests at long last. They made fun of each other. She accused him of trying to prove he works out by wearing overly tight clothes. He referred to her as a multifaceted maverick. They both uttered heinous things until they began to say pleasant things. Their issue stemmed from the fact that Lim works for Andrews. Both parties reached an agreement. They had become amicable, if not buddies. Shaun and Glassman overcame their differences by cooperating during surgery, and Glassman even allowed Shaun to take the lead in saving a man’s life. Meanwhile, Morgan was supervising an operation with a resident. She chatted to her boyfriend once she was done with that. One of the people who had been drugged was Alex. In his intoxicated state, he grumbled that he didn’t want to put his recliner in the den. He intended to keep it in the family room. Before he was drugged by the sweet potatoes, Alex didn’t have the confidence to tell her that, but he was glad he did, and Morgan received his warning that it was either living room or bust. As everyone began to come down from their highs, Asher inquired as to why he would not be introduced to Jerome’s frat pals. At first, Asher assumed that his partner was embarrassed by him. Jerome, on the other hand, felt embarrassed. He wasn’t like the rest of the fraternity. He didn’t want Asher to see him in that light, and he didn’t invite him to join out with his buddies until he heard it was hurting Asher. Lim and Andrews had also ironed out their squabbles, and now they can watch Spiderman movies together. Shaun and Glassman share a glass of Scotch.
