In The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 16 Recap: Freddie Highmore, who plays autistic doctor Shaun Murphy, finds a true friend in Jodi DeGroot, who plays Kennedy McMann. DeGroot is a talented lawyer who is prevented from attending client meetings at her company because of her OCD disorder. Murphy and DeGroot have a lot in common. Murphy keeps insisting to Jodi’s boss, Janet Stewart (Felicity Huffman), that Jodi depicts him at a medical negligence trial, which would be her 1st time in court. As Glassman’s friend complains that Jodi has too many problems, Murphy reminds him that he heard the same thing about himself. The words of the senior lawyer make no sense. Jodi would be the first person to represent Murphy in court. Jodi gains the confidence to step up after being boosted by Murphy’s assurance.
