In the finale episode titled “Love’s Labor” of the season, there is a possibility that a new beginning and untimely death will coexist. Just moments before Lea (Paige Spara), who is about to give birth. Lea’s coworkers at the hospital are victims of a catastrophic accident, creating a situation fraught with life-and-death tension. Shaun (Freddie Highmore), who is also about to become a father, and the other doctors rush to assist their coworkers Dr Daniel Perez (Brandon Larracuente) and Dr. Jared Kalu (Chuku Modu). The tragic accident claims the lives of the romantic rivals.
However, Perez’s story will take a tragic turn when it is revealed that he will be killed when he is struck by a car. Producers of The Good Doctor apparently felt that Perez’s story had reached a satisfactory end, as reported by Deadline. Fortunately, they appear to be leaving the door open for Perez to survive the accident and make a guest appearance in season seven. Due to his new lead role in the upcoming Prime Video series On Call, Larracuente has had to cut back on his time spent on the ABC drama.
