The first season of NBC‘s intense thriller The Hunting Party is almost over, and fans can’t wait for the explosive finale after the very exciting ninth episode. In the Season 1 finale, “Jenna Wells,” Killer Chemist Jenna Wells will be one of the most dangerous problems Bex Henderson (Melissa Roxburgh) and her team have ever had to deal with.
Before we talk about what to expect from the last episode, let’s have a quick look at what happened in Episode 9, “Tom Beecher.”
WHAT HAPPENED IN EPISODE 9: “TOM BEECHER”
Tom Beecher, played by Jay Paulson became a scary enemy in the second-to-last episode of The Hunting Party. The team was pushed to their limits by Beecher’s sharp mind and complicated personality. He set up so many complicated traps that the mission turned into a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
HQ intelligence officer Jennifer Morales (Sara Garcia), CIA agent Jacob Hassani (Patrick Sabongui), and former Pit prison guard Shane Florence (Josh McKenzie) were all forced to do something. When Morales went out into the field for the first time, she showed what she could do under pressure by using her skills at profiling to figure out what Beecher was going to do next.
At the same time, Hassani’s desire to protect Bex was becoming clear. His mistrust of Oliver Odell, the former Pit warden played by Nick Wechsler, kept things tense, showing that not all threats come from the criminals they are after.
The team now turns their attention to Jenna Wells, a criminal who is much more dangerous and unpredictable. Beecher is now in jail.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE SEASON FINALE: “JENNA WELL
In Episode 10, Jenna Wells, also known as the Killer Chemist, will be introduced to viewers. People say she is smart and beautiful, but her time in the Pit has made her even more crazy. She is getting more and more crazy every day, which makes catching her even more important.
It’s important for the team to find her quickly before she does more damage. Because Wells is so good at changing chemicals, she is a very dangerous target—one mistake and terrible things could happen. Jenna Wells is different from her enemies because she can do more than just outsmart them. She can also cause chaos on a whole new level.
This mission may be too much for Bex and her team to handle because of her increased mental instability. The tension between Hassani and Odell will likely come to a head, especially if their conflicting approaches put Bex at risk. Morales, fresh from proving her skills in the field, could once again play a pivotal role in profiling Wells’ next move.
As the first season of The Hunting Party comes to a close, the stakes could not be higher. Will the team be able to stop Jenna Wells, or will she be the most dangerous opponent they’ve faced so far?
