After THE IRRATIONAL Season 2 premiere’s intense and heart-racing events, Alec Mercer (Jesse L. Martin) and Rose (Karen David) made it through a life-threatening situation, but they still have a lot of problems to solve. Episode 2, “A Kick in the Teeth,” changes focus from the first episode’s main plot point of Alec saving Rose from an angry kidnapper to a new mystery that forces Alec and his group to embark on a perilous pursuit.
When a serial killer starts terrorizing suburban neighborhoods—the FBI calls Alec for assistance. The stakes are massive in this new case since there are more and more bodies. To find the hidden motivation behind the killer’s victim selection — Alec who is renowned for his keen psychological insights must investigate. There’s a lot more to this story than simply random violence, as Alec delves deeper and deeper into this murderer’s mind.
We can anticipate that Alec would approach this new case with the same tenacity after witnessing his daring actions to save Rose in the first episode. Alec, along with his team and FBI agent Marisa (Maahra Hill) has to figure out this scary situation. And understand why the killer is doing what they’re doing before more people get hurt.
Fans can expect another exciting episode as Alec’s knowledge and skills are put to the test against a cold-blooded killer. Will he and his team be able to put the pieces together in time?

The Irrational Season 2 Episode 2 Release Date
The Irrational Season 2 Episode 2 will air on Tuesday, October 15 at 10 p.m. (ET) on NBC. After its premiere on NBC, The Irrational will be made available on Peacock the following day for online viewing. There are currently no plans to make this title available for streaming outside of the United States.
