BBC One has released a trailer for an adaption of Eleanor Catton’s Man Booker Prize-winning novel of the same name The Luminaries. It will premiere on Sunday, June 21st at 9 pm. Eleanor Catton was awarded the 2013 Man Booker Prize for The Luminaries.
The show will hit screens in the UK on BBC while viewers in New Zealand can watch on TVNZ1. The six-part drama was first announced in September 2018 and the drama has been directed by Claire McCarthy. watch the trailer below.
Synopsis: Adventure mystery set in the midst of New Zealand’s 1860’s the gold rush period it has all the stuff that makes a good drama murder, love, and revenge as men and women travel the world making their fortunes.
