The series is based on Walter Tevis’ 1963 novel of the same name, which was adapted into a film starring David Bowie in 1976. He gives himself the name Faraday and joins forces with Justin Falls to try to save his planet. To watch the series online in the United States, you must either subscribe to Showtime’s online service or be a Showtime customer through your cable provider. The episodes will be published to Paramount+ on their Showtime broadcast dates for international fans. The series was originally slated for worldwide distribution via Paramount+, but Showtime and Showtime’s streaming platforms will now be the exclusive home for the American debut dates.

Without a Showtime subscription, can you watch The Man Who Fell to Earth?

For the time being, the only way to see The Man Who Fell to Earth in the United States is to subscribe to Showtime. You can join up for Showtime for free for the first 30 days if you’re a new member. The Man Who Fell to Earth will premiere on Showtime as an exclusive until all episodes have been shown, at least. After their initial showing, certain Showtime shows have emerged on other streaming platforms such as Hulu or Amazon Prime. The Man Who Sold the World is also airing globally on Paramount+, so once it’s finished broadcasting, this could be another service where the show will be available. However, Showtime is the only method to watch all of the episodes as they air. Thankfully, Paramount+ has announced that Showtime will be included in the app as an additional tier for the service this summer, which will cost $11.99 per month for the ad-supported essential tier and $14.99 per month for the ad-free premium.

The Man Who Fell to Earth Episode 5 Recap

In episode 5, we see Faraday start to work on a strange machine that even the smart alien doesn’t understand. Agent Spencer Clay keeps getting hints about the aliens’ plan through his risky partnership with the CIA-controlled tech company Origin. In the flashback, he is shown in his natural (alien) form as he says a tense goodbye to his family and promises to come back. Back in the present, Faraday (in human form) begs Justin to help him build the huge machine according to the plans Newton left behind. But Justin is worried about her family, so he insists that they come to London before she starts work. But the agent doesn’t know that Faraday and his human friend, Justin Falls, are actually trying to save their own planets from destruction.
