In the previous episode of The Nevers, Mary died. Amalia attends her funeral. But not Penance. They both investigate Mary’s murder to find out who might be responsible. Mundi finds evidence that Swann (James Norton) was involved in the murder of Mary. Mirel understands Mary’s lyrics, so Primrose and Harriet work with a multilingual touch to translate. Amalia and Lucy quarrel for killing Mary. Amalia makes Lucy disappear. Back at the orphanage, Amalia and Penance are discussing the loss of Mary. Primrose, Myrtle, and Harriet translate Mary’s lyrics. And they share the message, which is for Amalia and she starts crying. The message is surprising to everyone.

Episode 5 of The Never will air on May 9, 2021, at 9:00-10:00 p.m ET/PT on HBO. It will be available on the same day on DirecTV. All 7 episodes of The Never Season 1 will become available for viewing on Sky Atlantic on May 17, 2021.
