Amazon Prime Video’s The Rig Season 2 finale is a high-stakes adventure with a good mix of suspense, revelation, and resolution. The glowing waters and the Ancestor’s appearance prove that it exists so the crew doesn’t have to explain why it’s important. But this new information brings new risks. In the last scene of the finale; several military satellites are seen aiming at the Stac. This shows that the world is interested in the Ancestor and how it is connected to the Kinloch Bravo crew.
The global debut of the Ancestor could help protect and educate people, but it also makes the crew a target. In a way similar to Pictor’s, governments and other powerful groups may see the Ancestor as either a threat or an opportunity. Because of this uncertainty, there will be conflict in the future.
THE RIG SEASON 2 EPISODE 6 ENDING;
The end of Rig Season 2 hints that Pictor’s actions are caused by something bigger. Even though Coake, Bremner, and Darian were strong opponents, they were controlled by something bigger that they couldn’t see.
