The Rookie Season 4 Episode 14 Recap
On the way to intake, Nolan discovers a man dead on the bench. When Lucy is joking around with her boyfriend, Chris, she wonders if she would make a decent lawyer. Someone opens fire on a car in front of her and Bradford. When they conduct a routine traffic stop on a woman, Harper discovers someone filming Thorsen. When Thosen refuses to ride on the sidewalk to catch the killer, Harper becomes enraged. Morris, the show’s producer, is the one who is filming Thorsen and Harper, they discover. They realise the fatalities are the result of a hit on witnesses who are about to testify against a man. Grey is one of the witnesses, they realise. In the parking garage, a woman in a pink trench coat appears and threatens to kill him. He brings her to a halt. She stabs him, then shoots him, and he shoots back, knocking her out.
They make it to the hospital together. They surround Grey with security and try to discover out who else Rubio could have targeted with hitters. Thorsen pulls over Patrick’s father, the father of the child Thorsen is accused of killing, and he lashes out at Thorsen. Thorsen must apprehend him, and Morris and the video crew must record everything. They let Hayes go, and he talks to Harper about how Thorsen was like a son to him, and how he feels Thorsen was the one who killed Patrick. Grey is torn between the fact that he killed the woman and the reality that he is growing older on the job. Chris offers to assist Lucy by providing the list of witnesses, but she declines because he did not follow the rules. They track down the next target and make their way to the house. They track down the paralegal who sold the list to Rubio. Angela lashes out at him after learning that the assailant is after Chris’ boss. Lucy dials Chris’ number and instructs him to get Monty out of there and then hide. Del Monte and Chris are the targets of the shooter. Finally, Chen and the others arrive and save them. Nolan tells Grey that he doesn’t want to relive the shooting.
