After dealing with the professional tension between Tim Bradford and Lucy Chen, The Rookie set the stage for Chenford brilliantly, but the show should continue to provide tense, conflict-filled episodes for Tim and Lucy. Those aspects of the story help move the tale along and deepen the characters. The Rookie has shown before that it can use them to make engaging stories for Chenford. The previous episodes highlight the positives of Tim and Lucy’s relationship. Finally, by the end of the episode, Tim has a job with Metro thanks to Lucy and the rest of the cast of The Rookie’s efforts to assist him to find work.
