Nolan and Juarez question a man rolling a casket across an intersection where he is heading with the body. The man claims his brother Kevin is in the coffin and he is taking him to the bar for one final drink because he doesn’t know whether he will see him again. He opens the coffin and his brother is not dead. Coffin found. Lopez and Harper find a liquor shop owner who was shot in the head and tried to flee. Officer Jan informs them his CI told him the Double R, a girl gang, did it. At home, Bailey tells John that the energy in the house is off. Since their engagement, she’s off. Celina’s conversation obstructed energy. Grey and Lopez are provided at roll call. A pitch motion and a civil complaint. Lopez and Harper approach Chen for aid with the Double R, led by Shana Quelli, who was freed three months ago. Chen must infiltrate the gang to gather proof or a confession. Chen claims they’ll keep her away. Harper reminds her that she is UC now, figure it out. Bradford and Thorsen are summoned to a residence where Tabin’s mother screams and slams doors because he won’t listen. She asks them to fear Jesus in him.
Thorsten offers to talk. Thorsten and Bradford encourage him and give him their business cards. Elijah arrives with a bodyguard while Wesley has coffee and scones. Wesley calls his lawsuit malicious. Elijah tells him to go because he obtained a restraining order and will be there daily. Wesley advises him to take the scone. Nolan and Juarez have just given a ticket when a lady appears and shoots a man in a car many times. Nolan chases her and puts her in the car, saying he got what he deserved. Juarez tells Nolan that the person was dead for nearly an hour. Grey arrives and says the person must have been a jerk if two people wanted him dead. Chen claims that Double R Vina Codon is the sister of the Tabin Thorsen and Bradford spotted earlier. Chen believes their child could save them. Thorsen doesn’t want to endanger Tabin. Dr. Mitchelson’s automobile shooter stated she did it because he kept increasing her father’s opioids despite her warnings. Dad overdosed. Nolan convinces her that someone else killed him, so she won’t go to jail. Tabin and his mother are hauled into the station. Nolan and Juarez bring in Mrs. Mitchelson, she says she departed before him this morning. All his patients adored him, so why would someone want him dead?
Chen arrives undercover at Vina’s street party, gets out of the car, and says she’s UPS, bought Vina’s brother, and draws a revolver. After calming down, Chen is welcomed, but Tabin fights another kid. Juarez informs Nolan that Mitchelson is receiving complaints about overprescribing painkillers. Nolan and Juarez are watching the pharmacy that fills Mitchelson’s narcotic prescriptions. They stop a drugstore driver. He names the physician. Chen, Vina, and Shana run a restaurant while sitting down. They leave when the owner pays them. Wesley suggests Elijah accept the city’s offer. Elijah promises to take everything from him like he did. Nolan and Juarez get their guy, but the coroner tells Nolan Mitchelson died from poisoning, not gunshot. Vina visits Tabin at home and begs him to hold her gun so he can use it if necessary. Thorsen and Bradford arrest Vina for the liquor shop murder once his mother appears. Tabin claims he was exploited to get her home. Chen raced up when she saw the rifle, revealing herself. Nolan rushes to Mitchelson’s wife’s house and arrests her when she confesses. Wesley apologises to Elijah Stone in a press conference, so he drops everything. John surprises Bailey by bringing her favourite chair home.
